Terror attack on Australia’s Bondi beach.

The attackers used guns, weirdo. Mass shootings in Australia went down significantly after they enacted gun control but clearly there are still a few exceptions.

And gun control is certainly better than anything the GOP has ever offered, which is "oh well, thoughts and prayers"

“The hero of Bondi has been named. He is Ahmed el Ahmed, a 43yo fruit shop owner from Sutherland.

Truly the most extraordinary bravery caught on camera. He has two bullet wounds in his arm and is undergoing surgery right now.”

We’d probably try to deport him.

The hero of Bondi is Lebanese Muslim according to a Reddit comment.

Seriously, is the US the dumbest voting block in the world? There is a significant number of people that thinks that the solution to gun violence is more guns, the solution to disease is less medicine and science, and the solution the educational problems is destroying the department of education. They think that it makes the economy stronger if we take away money and services from the people and give more money to billionaires.

If our voters were a person we’d have been held back two grades already.

Longer video. Apparently the shooter who lost his gun rejoined the 2nd and opened fire on police / continued the shooting. Insane.

Hero should have shot the terrorist, but Australia.

That’s perfect. It underscores the point that you can’t make blanket judgments about people based solely on their religion.

Appears to be a cumbersome long gun hunting rifle. These are still legal in Australia.

Should they ban those too?

No, they should ban index fingers, so it’s harder to pull triggers.

Horrific.
So a Muslim goes against Jews and another Muslim tries to stop the Muslim shooter?

This is more false hype from the gun lobby. Statistically speaking, the number of instances where "good guys with guns" stopped violent crimes from happening is extremely small, so small as to be virtually ineffective. Meanwhile the number of crimes committed with guns is significantly higher here than virtually any other modern civilized nation.

Yes, the world is messy. Beware of individuals who paint groups of people with broad brush strokes.

The hero probably also just saved Australia’s Muslim population from a white rightwing bogan backlash.

There were 2 shooters.

Not sure the Good Samaritan was Muslim? I am hearing he got shot by the other shooter after he took the gun from one shooter who he allowed to walk away.

I think he would certainly have been justified to shoot the shooter who was walking away…and the other shooter…Not sure what the law says in Australia but if he did in DC he probably would go to jail?

Of course you have to be careful walking around with a gun in the middle of a terror attack as you may get shot when the cops arrive…

I hope the Good Samaritan is OK.

Maybe gun was out of bullets?

Well this happened while Adams is still mayor and Trump is president. Why is the world getting more dangerous for Jews with these guys in charge?

If it makes you feel better, the record holder that got the Australian gun laws changed for the better was your standard loser white guy like most all of them.

Here’s the US educational system on display, right here.
