I am in the position of closing between moving to MoCo or NOVA for the schools and the financial situation in MoCo is one factor tipping me to Virginia. It’s obvious that the county has no interest or ability in fostering economic growth.

Two of my neighbors moved here from red states because their children needed services. One had down syndrome and her mental age will not get above about 8 or 9 years old. She gets fabulous help. Another with downs also whose mental age won't get above age five the same. One came from Indiana, the other from Oklahoma.

I used to be very anti Trump. Personally I don't think any person of color or anyone whose family recently immigrated here should align with anyone who started their election campaign in meetings/rallies with David Duke and has clear anti immigrant policies. People from that background that veer that way forgot where they came from and what they look like.

But seeing how downhill things have gone and is still going and what the far left is pushing and what helped lead to the decline, and then hearing the things that Trump and Vance talk about, is kind of veering me more to the right. So more red areas don't look too bad to me now.
