So why did so many dum-dums vote for Trump?

Trump's poll numbers are bad, but we have to avoid triumphalism. Some of the polling numbers posted in this thread seem completely at odds with this: CNN laughing as approval rating for Democrats in Congress hits all time low:

Again, you have to take these numbers in context. They largely represent respondents who think the Democrats should be doing more to stop Trump. This is borne out by the Democrats repeatedly trouncing the Republicans in special elections since he was elected.

+1 Tons of Democrats are disappointed that they aren’t doing enough to fight the regime. That doesn’t translate to them voting for Republicans at their first opportunity; quite the opposite. Also I think the approval of Republicans in Congress is as low or lower.

Mike Lawler should worry about his own constituents and not the mayor of NYC.

Steny Hoyer retiring!

When Maryland does redistricting his district is going to get a lot less weird because he won’t be around to insist that the University of Maryland is in it.

cute you think we are having elections in 2026

And no Dems will not take the House before then either Mike Johnson will never seat anyone.

Shooting innocent people in the face, threatening to start wars, and covering for pedophiles isn’t popular?

This is why primaries are so important. And I can’t believe anyone over 70 is running. We still have a Dem vacancy because dude died as soon as he was elected! Irresponsible.
