There is every risk. It’s contracted when passing through birth canal. That immediate vaccine is vital. If one waits several months, it’s too late. Many women don’t get tested or contract it after being tested. It’s the best way to prevent serious illlness and suffering. Have you ever seen anyone with hepatitis b? A child? With a totally preventable horrible illness?! |

I expect some governors will force insurance companies to pay for it in the states where people are cared for and infants treasured - like they did with Covid vaccines. They override stupid RFK jr and his intent to make people suffer needlessly., My governor will likely do it within 24 hrs. |

It seems that MAGA will only learn when they see the consequences with their own eyes. Iron lungs. Children deaf and/or brain damaged from measles. Liver failure from hep b. What if the father is positive. What if a store came k is positive. Why would any intelligent person take the risk? You can bet that insurance will no longer cover Hep B vaccine at birth and if parents choose to vaccinate before 2 months the cost will be $500. |

Before hep B vax at birth, US had about 18,000 cases of Hep B in kids:

+1 My sister died of Hepatitis related chronic liver disease, albeit C rather than B, because she acquired it through a blood transfusion before we tested for it. She'd had heart surgery as a child due to a congenital cardiac issue. She died of Hep C liver failure as an adult; near the top of our state's liver transplant list, but then got too sick. Liver failure is horrific. Children will definitively suffer and die because of this, as they did when we previously used a risk based approach. We are knowingly returning to a failed practice. |

It's not a matter of "agreeing." Science shouws your opinion is unsound. The U.S. trid the mother-positive-only approach and it failed to adequatly prevent disease in infants in the United States. Vaccination for ababies all did prevent disease. |

Are you kidding with this bs about loving babies? The most preventable childhood "disease" is obesity. Can these millions of fat kids sue their parents along with the junk food industry? Should we also mandate breastfeeding and ban elective c-sections? And ban adults from having kids if they have a high probability of genetic birth defects? Such dumb arguments and hysteria about a vaccine for a disease that the vast majority of babies knowingly have zero chance of getting in their first few months, especially when delaying 2 months will add only 1400 possible infections each year. And even these could be mitigated with detection and education. And I guess you white knights know who the populations to target are. |
