Duke is Princeton with a more cohesive architectural theme - the core of Princeton is great but there are some ugly buildings mixed in - Duke also has one or two stinkers but fewer than Princeton. Plus there is East Campus which is beautiful in a totally different way (looks like UVA). Plus gorgeous gardens right in the middle of campus.

Princeton has a historical feel with Nassau Hall that Duke can never capture, plus the town of Princeton is a lot more charming than Durham. The gothic architecture at Duke is nice but apart from the chapel nothing really stands out like Blair Arch or Holder Hall do at Princeton.

Princeton has nothing remotely similar to Duke Gardens and all of the open space around the school. The quad on East at Duke is not matched at Princeton. And the newer dorms at Princeton are ugly. Duke isn't perfect but it has done a better job of making new buildings fit than Princeton.

Duke also has Cameron Indoor Stadium, arguably the most famous college basketball arena in the country, which fits in seamlessly with the campus. And the majesty of Duke chapel is unmatched - the dramatic approach driving up to it is incredible.

Duke chapel with that small circular parking lot is very underwhelming. Princeton's campus is older and classier.

Small circular parking lot? Really? Take the long drive leading up to the chapel, with the gorgeous gardens on your right. Maybe around 5 pm when the bells are ringing.

I don’t find it nice to drive or have cars rushing through a campus.

Your post shows that you are just being argumentative and have never been within 9,314 feet of Duke. You are making a fool of yourself. You are welcome to disagree but your arguments are pathetic.

All of this, because I don’t enjoy looking at campuses through the view of a car? Sure, bud.

When I visited, the campus seemed disjointed. It was the hospital with kind of flintstonesque short gothic structures next to duke garden and then the law school and policy school next to each other as standalone buildings with roads separating them. Weird set up tbh. The buildings didn't stand out to me in majesty.

Bucknell Booster is napping on the job. Or maybe no one even cares what it's like above ground when there's that amazing yellow brick road that takes you straight to The Street?

Wow - I just looked up Chico State ( I thought. it was a joke). Looks amazing!

There are several really beautiful and very nice campuses in CA.

Chico State
Cal Poly Humboldt-
Sacremento State -3000 trees
Sonoma State
Cal Poly SLO

For the UCs Berkeley has a beautiful campus with views of the bay, Santa Barbara and San Diego are on the ocean, Santa Cruz is in the redwoods and a short shuttle to the beach, Davis is full of trees, bike trails and a cute town,

The East Bay hills are adjacent to Berkeley, providing hiking access to Tilden Park which runs from North Oakland to Richmond.

As for Sac State, I’m assuming the 3000 trees includes some along the American River bike trail?

I know you want Duke to be in the conversation and decided the best way to ensure that was to compare it to Princeton, but it’s just not as impressive.

Do any basic search for both schools and you’ll get multiple iconic buildings for Princeton and the Duke Chapel for Duke. As for East Campus, it looks like a separate second-tier private college that could be found elsewhere in the South.

Some of the residential quads and academic buildings are impressive but it’s not on the same level architecturally as Princeton (or Yale). And the ugly buildings at Princeton are more than matched by buildings in the medical complex at Duke, which seem to take up more and more of the campus and have the charm of Fairfax Inova. Duke Law isn’t quite as intrusive, but is equally ugly.

UVA is a bit rundown compared to the others listed. It is historic, though.

This is Vanderbilt. The Wyatt center building is in the background. It’s on the Peabody campus where the freshman live, adjacent to main campus.

Thanks, makes sense given the video. Just looked like UVA to me.
I saw in the comments they are going to be a part 2 based on suggestions in comments Berry should be in there for sure.
