Would you recommend your job to your children?

Yes. I was a professional who worked for the government (before the current craziness). I contributed to society, made decent $, and could be a good parent.

+1. My kids know I love what I do, but I tell them we don't know what jobs are going to be around and how they will have changed.

Also a journalist. In fact, I have a masters from a top journalism school. Big, fat waste of money. Worse and worse each year.

+1. I still work for government and in spite of everything I would still recommend it, compared to many other options.
