| FOR A REALLY GOOD PLAYERS, THOUGH THERE ARE MORE OPPORTUNITIES IN LACROSSE THAN IN BASKETBALL OR SOCCER? |
At the college level, definitely. In soccer you’re competing against kids from South America and Europe. D1 soccer rosters are full of those kids. For basketball, there’s some foreign talent and basically every boy in the US tries playing at some point. You have to be a stud athlete to have a prayer of playing D1 college basketball. Lax is way less competitive and a pretty good athlete who works hard can get recruited. |
VLC in VA is a dumpster fire from the top down. Their kids should be easy pickings for other programs. |
He's the head of all lacrosse at TSJ (boys and girls) after SS left. there is a new director of girls lax at TSJ as well. |
| https://teamvalax.com/ is yet another NOVA club |
Do they have any teams? I cant find one team at any age group ranked. |
They have in the past. Their IG recently posted about tryouts for 2027-30 teams. Maybe they had to take a break for a year? |
https://usclublax.com/team_info/?y=2025&t=101466 They are ranked at 2027 on US Club lax not hard to find. |
Not exactly. D1 lacrosse is about as competitive as D1 football to earn a roster spot. D2/D3 is not quite as daunting but it’s still competitive. Also, college lacrosse teams will carry huge rosters. Guys who actually play actually rostered is a different story. |
I hope you’re joking |
A large number of D1 players could walk onto a D1 lax roster and be given a year to learn to use the stick. Jordan Faison isn't the most skilled player, but he ran by everyone so he was a threat on the field. Every P4 school has guys like that. |
false on all fronts |
