Lawrence Summers to Stop Teaching at Harvard While It Investigates His Epstein Ties
The former Harvard president had previously stepped down from other positions following revelations about his longtime connections to Jeffrey Epstein.

Good.

yes good. But pleae do not forget he showed up this week to teach the class and subjected his students to some self serving "i am sorry" drivel. See the ridiculpous video. These are young college students. Not much older than the victims. Just complete insane arrogance and an embarasment to Harvard it even got this far.

Harvard really really has jumped the shark ....

Donald Trump is on video bragging about grabbing women's pu**ies yet he's still allowed near women, and 74 million Americans voted for him...so why the double standard?

What are you talking about. We want Trump gone too for this behavior. The double standard is calling for Trump's head but ignoring these texts..

Also, haven't seen texts between Trump and Epstein that are this bad. I assume there will be some, but not so far.

One more nail in coffin on her legacy, and of course, his. Holy cow....

It’s gross and scummy. And embarrassing for him. Take a look at that mentee and her family. He was such a sucker.

Not illegal in an age-related way but I wonder what access he gave her.

Curious how Ackman has so little to say! It’s almost like he’s screaming the “rules are for you, not for us” part aloud with his silence.

He showed up to class Tuesday and gave the statement that was posted to X by a student. He resigned Wednesday.

Class meets again this morning and he will not be there. His co-teacher Dr. Lawrence will teach the class.

My son is in the class. I only know what he tells me, which isn’t much. He’s enjoyed the course, they’ve had some awesome guests including Sam Altman, Oren Cass, Jake Sullivan. Tony Blair was supposed to guest lecture in the coming weeks; not sure if that will happen.

Well his recommendations created the oligarchs in Russian during their transition from central planning to capitalism which has been widely panned

And he also held the Obama admin back from injected more monetary supply into the system in 2007/08 which lead to the long and slow last climb out of the financial crisis (whereas Trump injected the $$ during COvID and the economy remained strong).

Putting aside his relationship with Epstein and that he said that women were less intellectually capable than men, I’d argue he should have been let go for his bad economic judgement.

This is the education you get at Harvard: the former university president is trading dating advice with the ringleader of a child sex trafficker and teaching his class with ridiculous VIP "guest lecturers." What a joke. Claudine Gay may have been a deeply underwhelming intellectual and plaigirist but Summers is a hundred thousand times worse.

His grand achievement was creating the 2008 Great Financial Crisis.

Since he didn't join the government until 2009, I'm curious as to how he did that.

What he did do was lowball the 2009 stimulus package, against the advice of more competent economists.

Summers just made mistakes. just because epstein hated trump doesn't make summers bad or Harvard bad.

Agree with you about the VIP guest lecturers. If not cohesively integrated into the course design, what is the point? Other than superficial gloss and Summers himself not having to teach many classes.

Such a wretched hive of scum and villainy. Why would Summers resign from that?

Anyone know if he is teaching next semester? I could maybe just maybe get it if he is just finishing up the last few weeks and then will be gone.

Anyone have a student in his class?

Why not? Plagiarist Gay is still a law professor. Lying Liz Warren is still a senator. Didn’t you know that progressives dislike holding their own accountable for their action?

Kevin Sapcey is literally making a movie

Jimmy the Greek - you literally went to someone born in 1918

Weiner was not cancelled he went to jail for 21 months (not enough time)... he was hired as a CEO of a company when he got OUT OF JAIL and then a conservative talk show hired him.

I guess our definition fo "cancelled is different"
