According to the Atlantic article, Hegseth “pays a rent equivalent to a general’s housing allowance plus 5 percent (in this case, totaling $4,655.70 a month)”. So they actually “pay” rent out of their salaries for the military housing but still use tax dollars for renovations, etc. (“The Army notified Congress in January that it planned to spend more than $137,000 on repairs and upgrades to Hegseth’s McNair home before he moved in” ) |
| i'm surprised Rubio is doing this grift. I would have thought his political instincts would have been sharper. Little Marco in the General's house. It's very diminishing. |
| For the safety of their families. |
That’s not even close to the context that the “dam” poster used the word, so what on earth are you going on about? The PP is right, it was misspelled. Maybe you are actually the one who originally misspelled it notwithstanding your NP claim, because “MAGA horse’s patriot” is another bizarre and nonsensical turn of phrase. |
This is a bullshit assertion and basically you are saying they are snowflakes who can't take any criticism. |
There is no proof of that. |
|
It is sad that they need to do this but it is for the safety of their families.
It is sad that 2 million dollar homes in DCUM neighborhoods are not safe. |
All of them in Federal prison for life. |
MAGA dope. |
Dollars to donuts says he isn't paying that. |
A MAGA "patriot' who rants out of its horse's a$$, like you. |
Really? I too am a veteran and I'm appalled. Especially the fact that they are living in Generals quarters. Generals earned that housing. These people are intent on causing unrest in our country. If they were afraid it's because of their own actions. |
|
So the Secretary of State, the Deputy Chief of Staff, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and the Secretary of Defense have all chosen to live in Generals houses in heavily defended military bases.
What are they up to? |
