Rogaine vs. Nutrafol vs. Hers (or others)

My derm won't prescribe oral for me and I don't want to go rogue and possibly have some negative impact on my health but I wish I could take a pill vs using a topical solution. Topical works but it creates other cosmetic issues for me.

Minoxidil was designed to treated high blood pressure. It became a treatment for hair loss when doctors started noticing this side effect on patients. If you already have low blood pressure, the Minoxidil could lower it more resulting in dizziness.

OP here. Yep to the above. My doc suggested I take the pill before bed as it would be safer if I did experience being dizzy.

Ask about adding a DHT blocker to the oral
minoxidil. The results are much better.

You're obsessed with wigs, and don't understand that some people are willing to use something for the rest of their life. You don't think people on blood pressure medicine decide randomly to stop taking their meds, do you?

To the person who said that pills are only temporary solutions: My mother started losing her hair early and her hair was thin for most of her life. In her 60's, her hair thinning stopped and it is growing back somewhat. She says it is because she takes magnesium but I posit that the hair loss had to do with hormones and once she hit her 60's, after menopause, it was able to regrow. Your hair bulbs can lie dormant for up to 10 years and then regrow hair.
