I didn't know this either, but come to think of it, I have never been served a sundried tomato in a Michelin starred restaurant (not that this is the be-all, end-all metric of great food, but it's kind of intersting to note). I personally only use sundried tomatoes in my own cooking a few times a year, but I like to always have a jar on hand. Maybe my tastes are base. |
Yes: be grateful for the invitation. Don't fuss over the foods (except if unable to eat because of religious or health reasons). More people would host if there wasn't so much emphasis on what is being served. |

Yes. Raw or smoked is ok, but cooked is a no go. On top of pasta and smothered in spicy marinara is...a lot. |
