| Just like with the school superintendent who didn't have legal status, this is once again an example of an employer who did not do adequate screening. I'm assuming (but maybe I'm wrong) that anyone hired by a school system or police department has to go through thorough screening, including fingerprints. Perhaps the employers involved should review their screening process. |
| Question for the DCUM lawyers, does this mean all his arrests and convictions could be thrown into doubt? |
What convictions and arrests? |

This story doesn't make sense, so far. I am a naturalized citizen so I understand the immigration process better than an average person, one cannot get a SSN on a tourist visa, that just doesn't happen. How did he manage to get a law enforcement job without a SSN? This means, at some point he had a valid work authorization and along with that a SSN was issued, just to say he worked on a tourist visa is misrepresenting the facts. OTOH, maybe he faked a SSN and police department didn't even bother to complete the initial inquiry, the probability of that exists but is very slim.
They need to share further details because based on the information shared, it looks like ICE is fabricating the facts. |
| ^ Above PP again, also, Kristi Noem blasting this "news" without pertinent details just to get back at Pritzker is suspicious AF. |
I'm a naturalized citizen and agree with everything you said. I remember when I first came to the US I was on an F1 visa and got a special number (not a SSN) just to be able to pay my income taxes from my student aid job. I was only able to work on campus for no more than 20 hours a week. I smell something fishy coming from the claims that ICE is making. It's just so convenient that a Chicago cop has been caught in their web. |
| There goes the Trump wants to get rid of brown people canard. |
Why? Becasue one white guy got caught in his BS. Please. |
|
Anyone hasn't been found guilty of a crime should be allowed to stay, for God's sakes. It's not a crime to overstay a visa. It's a civil immigration violation.
|
According to ICE, so it's very likely that's a lie and the real story is more along the lines that he was checking in with immigration authorities, or had an asylum claim or the like. |
DP. I'm not sure that "everyone" who is undocumented and hasn't committed a crime should be allowed to stay, but I am sure that they shouldn't be treated as criminals. |
+1000 There's way more tho this story. |
You could save us from all this babbling and just say that you're a dumb MAGA. Ok genius |
Your God Emperor was convicted on 34 felonies, brah. Nlt eve counting the huge stack of felonies that where tabled by the Supreme Court when he became President. |
|
Oh, and we're counting "LIKELY" crimes too?
Like raping and trafficking children for over a decade with a convicted child raper? |
