AI could replace 100M jobs by 2035. Are you talking to DCs about “safe” majors?

that’s what theyve been saying to justify their lackluster slac outcomes

Not worried about my kids at all. Older one started cyber security and also works at 18.
I never had a career. Just low skilled work for 30 years and then early retirement as I invested what I could.
My kids have enough money and extended family support to go back to school several times, be it to learn trade.
We have 13+ family members ages 40-50 without kids. My kids may end up being caregivers to several of them in 30 years.

The 100M claim from the top is stupid.
AI will change jobs. People still need to eat, so people will need to work for themselves or others.

Obviously there are parents here that have children considering majors that would lead to careers that are more insulated from AI than others. The die has already been cast for my children, but I’m curious if parents of students working towards college are having “the talk” with their children? College is a major investment for anyone. How are you helping your children hedge against AI?

This is some guesswork done by an intern and got published. No one has an idea of how AI is going to impact jobs.

The last 250 years of history do not support these luddites predictions.

This sounds a lot like 2 weeks to flatten the curve. We all know how that worked out for the global economy.
