Francia Raisa addresses alleged Selena Gomez feud amid rumors she was snubbed from wedding

Dang she was 29 when she donated a kidney. That’s super generous but also a huge health risk to herself, no? Now she has to go with one kidney for the rest of her long life.

Source? it's illegal to pay for an organ donation in the USA so don't make sh** up.

You can be paid for travel, lost wages and child care... up to $6000.

Don’t be dim. That is not being paid for an organ. It’s being paid to cover any expenses that you incur while donating the organ.

I didn't say it was. You really have an issue reading into a very simple post. I posted a fact and you got all emotional about the post. I'm certain you do that in your real life. You need to do better. You need to learn to relax.

Who do you think you're arguing with? (other than the voices you hear in your head.) This is an anonymous message board and there are multiple people posting here. You posted lies. You can not be paid for sell an organ in the USA. There were no facts in your post, and you did not post any evidence to back up your lies.

+1 It's hard enough to get organ donors to sign up without people spreading mistruths. In countries where it's not illegal to sell organs, you get all sorts of predatory behavior where poor people give up their organs to feed their families.

Between this thread and the Taylor Swift thread, I’ve come to the conclusion that the people that have negative things to say about these celebrities have a more para social relationship with them than their actual fans. It’s wild the things that people think they know about these about the celebrities.

Not indebted to me or responsible to me or anything outlandish, but I would expect them to make an effort to be my friend, stay in touch, invite me to their wedding. And I’d expect them not to vape / abuse their body!!!

I wouldn't expect the friendship. But I would expect and want them to treat their body like a temple.

Odd expectation.

The royal threads too. I am shocked at how the haters know every appearance they've done and every organization they are involved in.

I think the biggest thing about this is if you follow the story the donation process was handled in an extremely unethical process. Selena was informed that they were a match before francia was which is not how it is supposed to work. This basically allowed Selena to use their relationship to influence her deciding to donate (as opposed to what normally happens which is the donor can refuse and the person needing the organ is told they aren’t a match). So she got an organ from inappropriately leveraging the friendship and now it’s a gift no friendship required.

+1 this isn't "favors" like others on this chain are talking about. Giving someone $ is different, you can earn more. This is a major medical decision that affects the donor and makes them vulnerable for the rest of their life. It's unique in that the organ (unlike $) couldn't have come from just anyone else.

Does Selena have XYZ obligations to her? Opinions can differ but don't underplay what this was.

Is Benny Blanco also a match? Is he lined up as her next donor? That would be very interesting.

Yeah it's messed up.

I thought that they were supposed to let the donor know privately so they could decline and then they would say they weren't a match? Or is that just something I saw on TV, haha.

They are. It's nice Francia is being polite about this in public and maybe she has gotten over it, but the video where she details how it happened seems really sketchy.

She added, "From the beginning, the doctors told me it’s a donation. If you’re going to donate a dollar to St. Jude or somewhere else, you’re not going to call to say, ‘Hey, what are you doing with my dollar?’ It’s a donation and it’s something nice that I was able to do. I am grateful that I am alive, and I can say that I have saved a life. We trauma-bonded, which is beautiful, but also it can get rocky and tricky. People grow, relationships change."

Yeah... that's what the OP expresses

Uh, no... the OP is weird.. . its said " and wouldn't you want to use your clout to help the friend be as successful as possible?" Weird.

I am the op. The whole point of my post was saying that Francia had a great attitude about it. Exactly what you were saying.

I went on to ask, if you were Selena, wouldn't you want to help that person who saved your life? Do you care to respond to that?

What does help mean to you? You think Selena should bankroll this woman? Its widely known that Selena tried to open some doors for Raisa. It's also widely known that Selena has physical and mental health problems she has dealt with for most of her adult life. Where was Raisa when Selena was getting mental health support? Off spreading rumor? Lending support? Please tell me.

It is not "widely known." I follow celeb gossip and 1) I don't think I've seen this rumor circulate and 2) Francia has been a steady, working actress for years. This is not meant to be an insult, but nothing in her body of work post-2017 screams to me, "Wow, Selena must've really given her the leg-up because look at how much her career changed at this point."

It'd be interesting to me if Taylor Swift were. After all, she's her only friend in the industry.

? These celebs are the ones who aired out their interpersonal drama, what do you expect? When Selena mentioned Taylor was her only friend in the industry, Francia commented something expressing her disapproval, and then Selena replied saying something along the lines of "Sorry I didn't mention everyone I know."

If I were to give interviews, I'd probably be saying something dumb every time, like trying to boost a friend and then hurting another by accident. We really have no idea what goes on between the scenes.
