Francia Raisa addresses alleged Selena Gomez feud amid rumors she was snubbed from wedding

Franca got PAID ok. Sure, you have ot call it a donation but don't think she didn't get compensated

Did anyone read that cut article about Selena and her mom? I am gonna give her break on this. I think Francia has known her long enough as well to known it's okay they both pulled back on the friendship

Per HIPPA, Raisa should have been contacted first by the doctor or transplant team. Not Selena!

Source? it's illegal to pay for an organ donation in the USA so don't make sh** up.

DP... Don't be obtuse. She was paid in many ways. The OP even suggests she should have been given opportunities in the industry as a thank you. BTW, she WAS given many opportunities and as someone who has some insider knowledge- Raisa was problematic to say it kindly. But she was young and immature. The reasons for pulling back had nothing to do with kidney, but certain issues in the friendship outside that.

I see she's still using Selena to be relevant.

I did not see the article. Can you expound on this?

She added, "From the beginning, the doctors told me it’s a donation. If you’re going to donate a dollar to St. Jude or somewhere else, you’re not going to call to say, ‘Hey, what are you doing with my dollar?’ It’s a donation and it’s something nice that I was able to do. I am grateful that I am alive, and I can say that I have saved a life. We trauma-bonded, which is beautiful, but also it can get rocky and tricky. People grow, relationships change."

Yeah... that's what the OP expresses

Uh, no... the OP is weird.. . its said " and wouldn't you want to use your clout to help the friend be as successful as possible?" Weird.

I am the op. The whole point of my post was saying that Francia had a great attitude about it. Exactly what you were saying.

I went on to ask, if you were Selena, wouldn't you want to help that person who saved your life? Do you care to respond to that?

“Francia Raísa’s father says his daughter confronted Selena Gomez because she didn’t stop drinking after the “Grown-ish” alum donated a kidney to the singer.”

Not indebted to me or responsible to me or anything outlandish, but I would expect them to make an effort to be my friend, stay in touch, invite me to their wedding. And I’d expect them not to vape / abuse their body!!!

That says more about you (not on a good way) than the recipient.

People grow apart. It doesn't matter what connected them.

Chill! We can disagree, it doesn’t mean I’m a “bad” person.

Here’s my lived experience - I survived a very aggressive rare cancer. One friend went above and beyond in a number of ways. She and I might grow apart. We might not even like each other one day! But I will ALWAYS have her back in gratitude of what she did for me. I’m already married but yeah, if I wasn’t, she’d be on the invite list for sure, even if we weren’t even friends anymore.

I have gotten a second chance at life and I don’t take it for granted. I don’t drink, I don’t vape. It’s hard for me to understand Selena’s unhealthy choice to vape after needing a kidney transplant.

What does help mean to you? You think Selena should bankroll this woman? Its widely known that Selena tried to open some doors for Raisa. It's also widely known that Selena has physical and mental health problems she has dealt with for most of her adult life. Where was Raisa when Selena was getting mental health support? Off spreading rumor? Lending support? Please tell me.

It's a weird place to be and there is a psychology behind it that is hard to explain to others.

My son was asked to donate something as well (odd I know) he was a match and he said, I can in 6 months but not right now. You would have thought he had wished the person dead. He actually did not donate because it became so out of control. He was young so I was dealing with the person and the nurse and they were incredibly rude.

You don't have a right to other's bodies, and you don't owe anybody anything when you have a lifesaving surgery. You don't send a birthday gift to the surgeon.

Family is not the same as a friend.

True, families is harder because you have to see them all the time even though they treat you like shit.

Why didn’t anyone from Selena’s own family donate their kidney. 🤔

I didn't know it was widely known that Selena tried to open doors for her. Why not just say that and share some info on that, instead of being critical and aggro and trying to start fights?

I'm fed up and disgusted with performative goodness. If I donated a kidney I would not be posting about it everywhere. You're a jerk if you feel the need to keep reminding the recipient that they owe you. Going to the press about it and making it the number one thing in your life says you did it for the wrong reasons.

I know someone who donated a kidney to a non family member and the person who donated is one of the most vile people I've ever met. She and her husband are relatively poor for this area and she assumed she'd be able to make money off of it. She strong armed the recipient in to making public appearances with her regularly as she tries to promote a book she wrote about it. More than 10 years after the act, the minute you meet her you will hear about it and her bitterness over not making anything from it and her bitterness that the recipient is reluctant to do more appearances.
