Ugh, yes! I’m “only” 42 so not there yet. But my fitness goals are to maintain/gain leg muscle mass as I age and to do my best to avoid the menopause belly. |
Haha ok this actually helped! I think I know what OP means now - like a face that is kind of lumpy and irregular, instead of smooth and tight. Loss of muscle tone, skin sagging….also I kind of associate this look with people who have a lot of injectables. Maybe it moves around, I don’t know. OP how about facial muscle tone exercises? Or can you not do that even when Botox wears off? The problem with those is that it can increase lines on the surface of the skin if you’re not watching carefully, even if the muscle underneath improved |

My sister has a potato face. She had terrible acne as a teen, which added to the issue. Here is what helped:
chin filler, she has a recessed chin, which was a big issue CO2 laser resurfacing Using retinol, vitamin C serum, and a cream for sun spots DIET - lots of water, less sugar, more fiber, and protein to help with bloating and some weight loss. |
| Potato face generally refers to people who have heavy, blocky, facial features with a tendency towards jowls -- think Amy Shumer, Patton Oswalt, or Eric Stonestreet. Think the opposite of "snatched". It's the loss of collagen and elasticity along with menopause weight gain that can cause this. OP, the first thing you should do is clean up your diet. Your cappuccino is not the problem (unless you are also packing it full of sugar). Focus on upping your protein and fiber, and lowering your simple carb consumption (the sweets). Lifting heavy-ish will help you burn more fat, but 90% of how you look is diet. Retinoids can't fix this. |
Do you mean bloated looking? Intermittently fasting. |
