Exactly. This site overwhelmingly (and incorrectly) blames Trump, but this shutdown is all on the shoulders of our beloved Democrat politicians. |
| There are real life implications to having a narcissist bully idiot in the white house. |
from what i read on here the senate can pass the bill without dems/schumer. so the shutdown is on dems but ending the shutdown is on the republicans, correct? |
Still waiting on an official email. I suspect it will be canceled. At least they're refunding money this year, unlike 2021. |
Thune can end the filibuster if he wants. Ball's in your court, John. |
Nope. GOP has Congress and the White House. They even has several democratic senators. Yet the still can't pass a CR, much less a budget, because they are inept. And they want Schumer to direct his caucus to help them, as he did in March. Why? The Dems represent real voters who don't want them to help the GOP unless they actually compromise and offer support for some Democratic priorities. The Dems are behaving correctly for how a representative democracy is supposed to work. Oh and btw, if you want to blame someone, look at Rand Paul, a GOP senator who won't vote for anything at all. You want to blame Dems when the GOP can't even keep their own caucus together? Get out of here. |

They just emailed to say they haven’t yet decided whether to cancel.
How frustrating! |
| ^ Army 10 Miler, that is |
Ugh, this is so annoying! |
| Oink |
| The army ten miler is still on. Just confirmed |
| Has anyone heard anything about the marathon and possible cancellation? |
Who controls every branch of government? Republicans. It’s their shutdown and their fault. They don’t want to govern and/or don’t know how. And Johnson doesn’t even want the House in session because he’s trying to keep the epstein files secret. |
