Food delivery people usually have a bunch of stops or slow or sit in DC traffic a lot (or all of the above) so by the time they deliver perishables items to your door and you bring them inside it could be a good 2 hrs without refrigerated.

| Like many other respondents, I've lived in Logan Circle for 20+ years, do 95% of my grocery shopping on foot in the neighborhood (ie walking home in the heat) and eat out regularly. I've only had food poisoning once-- in Laos 30 years ago. Most likely answer here is your own practices- not those of the restaurant or the grocery. |

I get a daily list of recalled items from a US government source. Surprising how often product's sold at Trader Joe's appears as being recalled for some form of contamination. |
