Why are Republican Women Obsessed with Kate Middleton?

Literally this lol. The whole thing around Kate and Meghan is ridiculous. There are a ton of crazy people on the internet (and in real life, but I haven't encountered them) who hate Meghan and prop up Kate and those who hate Kate and prop up Meghan. The things I've seen said about both of these women are insane. I'm a raging liberal and like Kate. I first was interested in following her because as someone with a history of addiction in my family, I really liked that one of her first patronages was about destigmatizing addition.

Between William and Kate, their interests are early childhood development, addiction, helping women in prison, mental health, fighting climate change, the arts, cancer research, and children's hospice care. Some of those have overlap with conservative interests, some do not. Their statement about Israel and Gaza was much better than a lot of democrats that I've seen. I honestly think they both are very smart to keep most of their personal thoughts and feelings private. That makes a lot of people think they're boring but if the worst people are saying about you is that you're boring, that's probably a good thing.

I’m a bit confused because we don’t really have hierarchy or status here in the US so why do conservative women act like they’re…equivalent to Kate?

I am a liberal woman. I think Kate is great because she is dignified and gracious. And we need more dignified and gracious people in this world. It is also fun to see how she and William are growing into their roles. It is not that deep.

You can't possibly be a liberal woman and think that the racist POS Kate is dignified and gracious or that her husband is anything but an angry lazy sack of shit who treats her like shit. Kate social climbed to her position. Her mother pushed her to decline admission to another (better!) college so that she could go to St Andrew's when William was there. When they learned he would be on a trip to Chile, she took a trip to the same place at what she thought was the same time but missed him because he changed his dates at the last minute. She was known by his friends as "sex waiting" and "the mattress" because she always made herself available to him on his terms. There is so much out there from their college days and and before their wedding. I didn't think most people really know the real Kate Middleton. Let's not even forget how mean she was to William's cousins before marriage and Meghan Markle when she married Harry. Kate has a not so great reputation. But William is far far worse and for that reason alone I sometimes feel really sorry for her.

Southern WW love her because they tend to be about image, status, and white supremacy. Kate embodies their ideals of a commoner white woman who became a Disney princess with the titles and tiaras and jewels. It's a white girl fantasy... I'm surround by them in my family. They also have negligent husbands and troublesome in-laws but think that their money and status is worth it. They likely don't work and are dependent on their husbands/fathers and social status to keep them afloat.

Remember the south wanted to stay a British realm and wanted to maintain slavery. Of course they identify with Kate Middleton and she knows it too because there is a hilarious portrait of her for her 40th birthday where she is styled as being from the Antebellum era.

Do you really literally think republicans are all from the south and love Kate because she is racist and they still want to be a British realm? Wut?

Ma'am Kate hasn't done anything tangible for her Early years program. Not one thing. She rarely does a speech or meeting but nothing tangible. She put out a Five Things list or something about early development that she took from an already established early development think tank and charity. She has been married in since 2011 and has very little to show for it.

As for addiction and women in prison, she made two visits in her 14 years of marriage and that's all I can find on the manner.

Heads Together was a charity developed by Prince Harry via their joint foundation. His team put together the events, Harry planned them, and Kate and William showed up for the photo
ops. When Harry left the charity remained with Kate and William and they haven't done any events since.

William only recently started Earthshot, his environmental charity, and by all accounts including his own it's more of a commercial endeavor than an outright charity. Winners are promised $5 million over several years to see their projects to commercial success however most winners have not received anywhere close to that amount and some have had to fold their research projects entirely. Every year the Earthshot gala is held in a different country which means a ton of travel for all involved learning to environmental harm. Also, Earthshot takes in tens of millions from Billionaire funders who themselves have made their money in industries that harm the environment. And recent reports have shown that the "charity" spends more on yearly overhead than it does actually finding the projects that won the monetary prize. Earthshot is not living up to its mission statement and is barely an actual charity.

Neither William and Kate have done much for cancer research or children's hospice besides go visit for photo ops a handful of times on 14 years. They haven't donated their own money. They haven't brought others in to help fund them either. Rose Hanbury, William's sometime affair partner and Kate's ex-friend, did put together charity garden parties for children's hospice care to which William and Kate attended. That's about it.

It's 2025, let's stop propping up rich people with unearned and unwarranted accolades.

Trump really really likes her. Like he really really likes her. Would not be surprised if they have an affair. Natural all conservative women will like what Trump likes.

Um, what? She wouldn't let that weird old obese rapist touch her with a ten foot pole and you think they might have an affair just because Trump says she's beautiful? I'm not a royal watcher but this is a crazy thing to say.

Can the people who hate Kate just state up front that it's all about MM?

You are putting words and thoughts into people's minds with this fabricated construct of yours.

It's pretty obvious that people start these threads just to talk about MM and praise her.

Nope.

Can't you just do that without bringing up Kate in your fangirling?

People are allowed to talk about K.M. Accusations of fangirling are a pretext.

They are separate people who have nothing to do with each other.

Not true, their husbands are brothers.

Right, so it's just a coincidence that these threads always end up talking about MM and then people freak out and get the threads locked when people start talking about MM. To get around they they started these Kate threads disingenuously. How long did it take to bring up MM? On the first page I think,

My trumpy mother only started paying attention to Kate when Meghan arrived on the scene. And then, it was transparent fawning over the pretty white girl and villainizing the uppitty woman of color.

She’s a professional housewife. That’s why. Conservative women….

This is a very Western viewpoint and very closed minded.

She is much more than a housewife. She sits on tons of committees and boards and heads up programs for nurturing little ones.

Her name is on those positions, but Kate Middleton does very little work. She is known for being very lazy about her Royal duties. She avoids appearances as much as she can

Yeah, it’s so lazy to limit activities when you have several small kids and cancer. What a bum!
