Instead we have a toxic group of adults who don't even like runners and one coach definitely doesn't even want distance runner on track. She has openly told them she doesn't care about distance as a whole.

We have found the videos and tips from Curtis Beach on instagram to be helpful for track strategy and conditioning. For XC, Coach Jay Johnson has good content

Thanks. Yes, my goals for her are for her to enjoy hs sports with friends and to be exposed to something that could be a post hs fitness option. With the videos I’m mainly looking for ideas for her for next summer to come into the season with some prep

Other than Robinson, they are a lot faster than every other team within 100 miles of the DC area, so they are not exactly slow.

Which of the local team other than Robinson will take them down? Give me a prediction please!

West Springfield could be in the running

The problem with these XC courses is there is no standard- so some of the "fast" courses where girls get these crazy fast times are flat. While, other schools will run at Oatlands (which is hard and no one finishes under 18 minutes) and then all the times are combined and it looks like there are no fast schools in the area.

South lakes and Woodson could also have a good showing. Robinson is fast but also includes a flat course as a strategy in their early season races.

Watching the live feed of the meet- Woodson won the JV girls race- 1st individual and team. Way to go girls!

Many local HS are not participating in Great American this year. The competitive field is not as strong.

Georgetown Visitation
BCC
West Springfield

South Lakes is more of a track school. They do well in XC but track is their thing

I think Woodson did pretty well- they had good showing in the JV races and finished 10th in Girls Varsity. It looks like their runners dropped some time on this course. I feel like they are a little like South Lakes- they are almost stronger in track vs XC
