Did they charge money this year for tryouts? |
Yes, credited toward dues so really just to manage numbers of serious vs unserious and not have clogged tryouts. |
We didn’t get the credit. Weird. Mixed feelings with in10sity. The change in events (no copa when on the schedule from the beginning and then a random Arlington futsal tourney?) and last minute practice changes/cancellations. Feel we paid for uniforms and not a lot of practice sessions. Was hoping our kid would get some exercise with the practices. Won’t be returning next winter. |
+1 I am a supporter but I will be having a conversation about expectations for next winter. Not enough practices at all this winter. |
No credit? That’s not cool. How much were the tryout fees? |
I can has cheese burger? |

What was wrong with that? There is soooo much cringe and just straight-up inappropriateness/unprofessionalism/would-get-anyone-else-fired content in that coach’s IG, but I didn’t think this was one of them. (If you haven’t seen it before, make sure you have the volume turned down.)

This year feels like a real bait and switch, I agree. Paid a lot for not much substance and, as a bonus, super toxic environment.

This feels like a tipping point. In10sity is not toxic to us but not sure the costs justify the amount of actual practices we have had. The last minute change today eliminated us from attending practice. My child loves to practice with them though.
Disappointing because we really want futsal training and False8 ain’t it. Our local club has outdoor training indoors and labeling it futsal. Seems like an opportunity is available in the marketplace for futsal without arrogance. |

I wanted to wait until futsal season was over to chime in on this thread. Our kid played with In10sity this year. Here is my take.
We didn't experience the screamer coach, which was my biggest concern going into the season. I think it was a combination of him tempering himself a bit, and luck that he wasn't my kids coach. My biggest surprise and takeaway was the use of guest players. When we signed up for In10sity it was with the understanding that we were paying for training, and to be a part of a player pool that would be used to develop rosters for tournaments. Based on the known talent in my kids age group, I thought it would be a good fit skill wise and put my kid in a good position to make at least a few of the tournament rosters. What ended up happening is that for every tournament In10sity secured guest players from outside the program/player pool to populate their rosters with only 2-3 MAX players from the actual player pool making the roster. The vast majority of kids who paid to train/play with In10sity never saw a tournament roster, including my kid. Additionally, rosters consistently had 9+ players on them and my understanding is that the majority of minutes went to guest players. So if you are interested in funding In10sity's program, having your child attend mediocre trainings and watching kids get rostered for tournaments that aren't part of the program, this is absolutely the program for you. |
In10sity certainly isnt perfect but this is surprising and likely misleading. They operate from three different locations all with different playmetrics lists. How do you know the players were "guest players" and not players from Columbia or Virginia or Souuthern Maryland. I think that is more likely esp in the younger ages. I can imagine some of the pools at those ages were 30+ kida across the three locationa |
How many teams going to Atlantic City? On those teams, how many trained all season and were selected? |
We played for In10sity this year. I am not comfortable with this statement in bold from a prior poster. The trainings are not mediocre, they are great. With that said, we will not be returning. Not sure if it is the parents or the club but we found them to be front runners. The top kids quit on the team when it was obvious we could not compete with the other big boys and the club quit on the age group and did not send anyone to AC. Unless you are winning, they don’t care. It is a shame because my kid actually loves the practices and intensity of them when they had them (pun not intended). We did have guest players but it was just a few who were high level talent in order to boost results. Those players were not with the club in other locations. Parents talk. Hopefully, they have somebody monitoring a space like this to receive honest feedback. |
