It’s hard to imagine he won’t be. Both parents are at least average. As long as there isn’t a medical problem- he will reach an avg adult height! Just trust |
It's getting ridiculous, this height obsession. And people just lying about their husbands and sons heights. I wish it were just online but it's trickling into real life too |
| Just take your kids to their annual check-ups for monitoring. My son was 90% for height for most of childhood. Then he suddenly fell off the charts and was referred to an endo for delayed puberty. Testing revealed growth hormone deficiency. My point here OP is that his size at age 5 did not signal what we'd be dealing with 9-10 years later. |
| SUPER! |

| When I found out I was having a boy because my FIL and DH are 6'7" and I'm 5'10". I guess he could suprrise us but he's been 99th percentile his whole life. |
Same parental stats here (5'10M, 5'8.5"F). DS was tall all through elementary school (not freakishly so, but he was one of the youngest in the class and consistently one of the tallest). By 6th/7th grade he was 99th percentile and convinced he would be at least 6'3"... and then he stopped growing in 8th grade. He's currently 16 and not quite 6 feet. I remember in 5th grade my 2 two best friends and I (girls) were all the same height and considered tall. One is now 5'2" and one is 5'11. I don't think you can know for sure until you get through puberty. |
| boys often grow a ton during the preteen and teen years. shorter classmates sometimes leapfrog taller ones. you might not really know until then. |
| Assuming your heights are accurate., most aren't, your son will probably be between 5' 10" and 6ft. |
Because of social media and dating apps |
| Always in the 99th percentile. 6'6" at 15 |
This was my baby. His dad is 6’4. Baby is now five years old and solidly 50th percentile for height. Remains to be seen if he will shoot back up again. |
You think most adulta don't know their own height? |
I think a lot of men overshoot it |
Working on healthcare I can tell you most don't. |
