Mooney says he's "made the decision to step down." I bet he keeps his Principal's salary while being AP. MCPS can't make anyone accountable for anything.

MCPS spokesperson Liliana López and Mooney both declined to comment. What do they pay these spokespeople to do if not to speak?

Oh, most definitely. The demotion in title never affects pay with MCPS admin.

I’m upset he gets to keep a job — albeit with a demotion. He should have been fired.

Update: Mooney is gonna be an AP at Blake, not Einstein after all. How messy and chaotic of MCPS.

Good grief. Does no one at central know to review things before they're sent out?

Yep. They couldn't even get the high school right. What absolute dummies.

Further away from the Kensington area where many BCC families reside.

Kensington is probably too close to where Ingler lives/lived.

Any Blake HS parents on here? Was this the school where they found a noose in the athletic fields during the school year? Or was that another school around Blake's area?

DCC schools are an afterthought. NEC, the same.

Just so incompetent.

Ik sorry for Blake. But this is the MCPS way — demote incompetent principals to APs rather than fire them.
