Yet still not an excuse for doing a serious infraction such as making an illegal uturn.

Doing so exposes you to oncoming traffic that are trying to make legal right turns and you could cause a serious traffic collision where you could possibly hurt another motorist.

Because this insanity happens all the time. People need to know, call out her incredibly reckless, selfish, and fatal decision, so that others take note and stop trying to make dangerous moves so they don't miss their turn/exit/lane.

I see drivers doing dangerous shit like this all the time - stopping because they're in the wrong lane and about to miss their exit turn, or in a place they don't want to be. Lingering in the merge/striped area. It is so incredibly stupid and dangerous.

The right and only answer is to keep going at a normal, steady state of speed, and then take the next exit and turn when it is safe to do so.

That stretch of 495 can be especially hard to navigate. You’ve got cars coming from three main routes merging together (the beltway, 95 north, 395 south) and the HOV lanes starting and multiple lanes on the right merging left. I do it regularly and have to take the Braddock exit and it’s nerve-wracking every time.

We have accessed the HOT lanes there after coming up 95 north and it can be tough making the way across to them from the right lane.

Yes but this thread is blowing out of proportion the alleged bad driving of the lady. Maybe she stoped on purpose but it is much more common to encounter a stopped car in a driving lane due to an accident or just stopped traffic. So instead of trying to be an insensitive jerk on anonymous forum just drive defensively to avoid a situation like this one in the future
