I am relative newcomer and I call it National. All the locals do. I don't think it will be forgotten.

The rose garden design was requested by JFK, so naming it after Jackie Kennedy makes sense. But, notice, no POTUS has requested the name be changed since.

Trump has done nothing for the Kennedy Center, other than cause some artists to refuse to preform there.

BTW, Trump has paved over the rose garden. He can call that concrete area the Melania Concrete Slab.
