check out some consignment stores and Facebook marketplace. we just had furniture growing up - no kids beds or anything like that - and we still have it.

Why not? It’s a good way to get solid wood furniture. The newer stuff is 90 percent garbage unless you’re buying Amish furniture or Hardwood Artisans.

I'm with you. I have gotten such great things from facebook marketplace and thrift stores. And the vintage furniture is SO much better quality than the newer stuff.

We went Amish. It is beautiful and they will take it with them.

Bed from amazon. They are much stronger that Ikea ones. Desk and drawer used from marketplace.

I recently discovered them and have ordered several pieces of 1950s American manufactured all-wood furniture. All reasonably priced, including the delivery fee. Less expensive and better made than a lot of newer furniture.
