So they’re not good dancers but I just find the setting and the yellow dress so pretty.

The dance scene in Muriel's Wedding pretty much sums up the first part of Muriel's character arc in a really fun way.

I almost posted this one! That movie is so funny |
Strictly Ballroom seems like it should be a cult classic, but it’s almost impossible to find in streaming. I saw it in the 90s and have been casually looking for it for years to rewatch but can never find it.
But for me, as much as I remember: the part at the very end when everyone starts dancing to Love is in the Air. What a joyful moment! |
I always loved the synchronized dance scenes that showed up occasionally in the 90's:

I'm OP and I'm overwhelmed by all of you taking the time to post her. Earlier this week I learned that a close friend of many years -- my college roommate-- is facing a health challenge. I started this thread because I needed something to make me smile. You all came through! And I love the variety -- everything from Vera Ellen (The Best Things Happen When You're Dancing) to Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo in Thriller to The Full Monty. Thank you all so much! And keep it comin'! |
