It’s hate and it’s a lie
It is very simple to determine if a church teaches the truth or is an imposter church: are their teachings on morality supported by the Bible?

If a church has unrepentant homosexuals active in that church, it is not a church but a social club pretending to be a church.

Even if the pastor of that church has a PhD in Theology from Harvard but is teaching contrary to the Bible (such as claiming homosexuality is not sin), then that pastor is a reprobate. Dismiss that ungodly person with extreme prejudice. Heed not a word that person says.

Another good indicator of a false church is a church with a woman pastor. That is a church that has strayed from the truth. Don’t go there.

A final mark of a worldly church is what I call the Rock & Roll church. If every church service has the appearance of a Rock concert with hippie-looking musicians, I would tread carefully and be on high alert. It does not mean it is a false church but something could be amiss.

The Bible is your litmus test to determine if a church is of God or of Satan.

No. The word homosexual was not even in the bible until 1946. You've been bamboozled by false prophets.

If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination

This is the very definition of homosexuality. If you cannot see this, you are deceived and willfully ignorant.

There are many examples in the Bible, such as the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Those who are not of God will either ignore scripture or lie claiming the Bible does not say it anywhere, or that it means something else; Christians have been wrong for over 2000 years.

It is interesting why the ungodly go out of their way to approve of this one particular sin, twisting and omitting scripture to convince sinful people their behavior is blessed by God when it is not.

I believe Satan loves abortion and homosexuality because it results in fewer humans on the planet. Satan has only a limited workforce of demons to deploy, so the fewer humans there are, the easier the job.

You’re reading a translation that is created to teach you to be evil towards certain people.

So the reality is, Satan changed the translation to create people like you.

How does that Apple taste?

+1. Lol. Love this

The bigger deception by Satan was to convince Christians that Jesus is God, so that they would worship him instead of the true Lord and in violation of the first commandment.

There is only one line in one gospel that was used to justify the "trinity". How hard would it have been for the devil to pull off this trick?

Whoah, way to derail the thread with a heresy that goes back to before the Apostle's Creed. Good one.

Not either PP, but most recent PP would you point out in the Hebrew and Greek where these verses are different? Assuming you're the person who mentioned 1946, that's merely one word in one verse. You haven't addressed other books of the Bible or brought out possible translations of the various ancient language words used in those places. Which makes your argument as it stands fairly....incomplete.

Are you sure it is heresy?

Biblical teaching on this topic is quite clear. Of course there is always the desire to attempt to use Christian testaments to justify current popularly held moral beliefs.

The more interesting question to ask is why nonbelievers are so desperate to claim their values are biblically supported.

Biblical teaching on any topic is as clear as mud. The Bible continuously contradicts itself. One would think that divinely inspired text by an omnipotent and omniscient entity would know how to make things less ambiguous for us lowly creations.

So you agree many variations of the bible do not ever say in any way shape or form that homosexuality or abortion are against Jesus's teachings.

So there are some that never said it and then some new translations that do and YOU choose the ones that do. Hmm why is that?

I’m so hung up on this because I posted a single time about it? In the midst of doing and thinking about a million other things? How illogical. Are you like an infant who isn’t aware that people exist when you can’t see them?

What a Christian response. Truly bearing the image of Jesus.

I don’t spend time posting about questions which have an obvious answer. Only you can decide if “gay-affirming” is a dealbreaker for YOU. Others will have different opinions. Proceed accordingly.

God bless!!!

Bet you don't really mean "God Bless!!!"

OP claims to be a Christian. WWJD.

So when someone points out that you’ve said or done something that didn’t really make good sense, you just say they aren’t really Christian. Got it. In your mind you get decide who is Christian. And you never have to question your own comments or actions, even for a second, or grow as a person.

Who said the posters are non-believers. They are prophets send by the Holy Spirit to save your soul.

So I assume that you adhere to all of the laws as stated in Leviticus? right?

I'm religious and follow my church rules, but fully get that my gay friends do not believe the same things and they follow their rules. Nowhere does my religion tell me to be hateful to those who believe differently, no I'm not. I have loads of gay friends. They do what works for them and I do what works for me. No judgement by any of us. We're all adults and just live by what works for us.

Thanks for this thoughtful perspective. I’m not sure I totally agree with you but I really appreciate this balanced answer.

Christian (like love) can be both a noun and a verb.

Sure you are the noun but as far as actions are... no they are not.

But it's incorrect. The bible doesn't say that marriage is only between a man and a women which is why many churches marry all couples.

The bible was once used to say and black and white couple could not marry, no different here.

DP. She didn't say that the Bible says that. She said that she believes it sacramentally.

You made a sweeping and odd comment about someone you don’t know based on a few sentences. Someone questioned the logic of doing that. You called her not a Christian. She said you are not willing to look at how what you said might make no sense so you might grow as a person and so you said…this. Are you my 8 year old? How did you get on here?

You only have to lie once to be a liar.

You only have to make one non Christian remark to not be Christian like.
