Is this just swimming or is this swimming and diving? I don't know how it works but I know a few kids through my kids that dive in the summer. Just curious. Thanks. |
Diving is a totally different animal. |
Agree to disagree. P has grown increasingly grouchy and unreliable. It is not the parents who care too much about winning - it’s him. So much anger that he can’t beat T and CB and that other younger coaches are succeeding |
Highlands new head coach is absolutely fantastic |
Is a summer league coach making any difference in whether the team wins or loses? Minimally. The D1-D6 teams with the best and most club swimmers are winning the most meets. Those teams with solid winter swim programs AND fast club swimmers are doing even better. A summer coach needs to care and help all swimmers progress, but it is much more important for summer coaches to be kind, to model positive behavior and dispositions, and to invest in all the kids, especially those who receive no to minimal coaching throughout the year. These powerhouse teams are not winning with a bunch of summer-only kids who have a tremendous summer coach. That’s why the winning part is almost irrelevant to a summer coach evaluation, beyond maybe evaluating how the coach seeds each meet and makes the children feel cared for and excited to swim. |
This is hilarious. The tone all season at DR has been about having fun and achieving personal best times. The coaches, kids, and parents here at DR are fantastic. Stop throwing shade. |
100% 🔥🔥🔥 |
- written by a DR parent who will spend two hours at the upcoming banquet talking about how awesome the other parents are |
Stop with the false narrative. We’re a Tuckahoe family and this is simply untrue. Most of the kids have been on the team since little tigers. Every once in a while families get off the waitlist and are able to swim for the club, but there’s a process for the waitlist. |

Yep Yep |
lol |
People so jelly because kids from division 20 want to swim for back-back-back D1 champs.
Maybe fast swimmers want to have fun and be pushed by other fast swimmers… |
