How do you talk to your teen about picking at their skin?

I had back acne around her age and it was worse when I put any lotions on my skin. After several years, I realized after washing my body and hair that I was rinsing the conditioner right down over my back.

I started turning sideways to rinse out the conditioner and it helped finally clear it up.

I was lucky to not have much acne on my face, but it was still embarrassing to have it elsewhere. My dermatologist at times prescribed antibiotics, but they didn't have the immediate effect that eliminating the conditioner had.
