This isn't a big deal. MLS Next Cup is advertised as "Nashville" but is really in Murfreesboro. While slightly annoying that you're not right in the urban area advertised, most of your time is spent around the fields anyway.

So, it remains to be seen. There is more than ample room for hyperbole and conjecture at this point. Something like this can easily be a topic to get picked apart on DCUM.

This kind of sums it up. I want it to succeed. One of the first posters kind of exposed many of the flaws that I never thought of that really made me go 🤨 Having been with a small club, I honestly think many of us parents understand the local landscape better than some of the clubs and admin. I can see FOMO from clubs forming because we all want to see how our kids compare to kids in formal academies as a benchmark.

When I looked a little deeper into the conflicting deadlines on multiple sites, cancellation language, and the “real estate developer” running the whole show I’m going to pass on the guesting opportunity and just show up with some 🍿 ready to be entertained whether it happens or not.
