2000: have SCOTUS stop the recount and appoint your candidate President, in a decision so bad even they said it couldn’t be used as precedent! 2016: call on Russian hackers to find your opponents’ emails! But no candidate may question the integrity of an election! 2020: Georgia election racketeering! 2021: attack the Capitol to try to overturn election results! 2021 - 2024: whine that Biden stole the election and is illegitimate! 2024: “In four years, you don’t have to vote again”. No candidate may question etc. etc….! 2028: are we even going to have elections? |

People should actually read the links in this thread.
Trump and his people are not planning to STEAL the election or incite an armed mob. At least, those are not plan A, it seems. They plan to disenfranchise people using currently legal means. They plan to make voting difficult. They plan to make the job of election officials difficult. This is why approval polls don't matter. If he can use lawful (maybe unethical but he doesn't care) means to maintain his hold on the House and Senate he can continue to enrich himself. |

There's no election to steal if he doesn't allow another. That's what he's going for, IMO.
And who can stop him? SCOTUS neutered itself for him. I think the canceled Miami election is setting the stage. Trump's team is waiting to see the outcome of that in the courts to dictate how they'll go about canceling the 2026 midterm and 2028 presidential elections. |
