Agreee. But just need to clarify that Tapper's 2 kids are not at the Cathedral schools. |
Expand more about his interests. This application is incredibly generic thus far, and it seems like the kind of DMV kid that would get rejected by all the Ivies because they blend in with the rest of the pack. |
Conventional wisdom is 34 |
STA is filled with extremely connected children. If your kid is unhooked, they won't fare any better. In fact, your kid's odds might be better at a DCPS school, where they can easily get straight A's and maybe be 1 of 5 realistic applicants to HYPSM rather than competing against half the graduating class. |
Ha |
And his kid is headed to Michigan to row for the crew team. |
Many of the STA boys going to Dartmouth are recruited athletes. |
Why does that trigger you? Driving around the DMV I see a ton of UVA, VT, JMU, W&M, Michigan, Univ MD, Elon, NE, etc. car stickers. Are people that attend Ivies not supposed to display their school pride? Is there a certain ranking cutoff where you are not allowed to put a car sticker on your car? |
OP did mention there is a "pointy interest" which we don't know what it is. Otherwise yeah is dime a dozen generic DMV "well rounded" kid. |
Cornell or Dartmouth would be much easier |
A 33 is low for all private T25s |
If you just want to get into an Ivy, apply ED to Cornell Human Ecology or ILR. You likely won't, because, although technically an Ivy, it isn't culturally. |
The easier admit for ILR HuEco is for NY in-state residents. For OOS the acceptance rate is lower. |
No one puts an ivy sticker on the car unless you are completely clueless. So tacky. Vanderbilt? Yes. Michigan? Yes. UCLA? Yes. Cal? Yes. Cornell? Maybe. All other ivies? NO NO NO |
Any state or national EC's or awards? May be ok if a top private but otherwise probably need more. |
