William & Mary stingy with aid

I really hate this "give me, give me, give me" attitude in today's society.

Yeah, for the percent reporting for W&M and UVA, adding SAT and ACT reporting numbers puts them in the ~60% ballpark, which is about the same as WashU, Rice, Vanderbilt, other ~T20 schools. Notes Dame doesn’t even report the % on theirs. So “meaningless” doesn’t really apply, unless you throw those schools’ data out as well.

Notre Dame does provide numbers. It looks like 33% reporting SAT and 25% ACT.

WM is not stingy with aid, but their aid is based on documented/demonstrated need.

WM is comparatively generous with aid under $110K income

CNU has historically been test optional even before Covid, so not many send scores in. I wouldn't put much weight on the range. The business school is popular. Nice school for $24K, I know some wealthy kids who attend because they liked it and not just because of the cost.

Similar income to OP and my OOS DC ended up not applying ED1 to W&M because the calculators showed it much more expensive (by ~$15-20K) than most private schools with need-based aid only. We didn’t qualify for any at W&M but a fair bit at the privates. Definitely recommend people trying out a lot of calculators early in process.

As a state school, W&M prioritizes in-state aid.

And it is a solid school with a very involved student community and beautiful campus.

No that's too late, you should have as soon as you got out of your own college

Where exactly are people finding this $24k number?

On the website for CNU it says $30k for just tuition and room and board and an estimated $37k COA

Why do stupid people come onto threads they have no businesses interacting with and try to troll but can't even do a good job at it?

People hate on Radford but I have new respect for that school, seeing tuition, room and board at under 26k before any aid for in state. It’s definitely more affordable than many.
