I use PNC bank. A few around me have shutdown, and the one I now go to has 2 people working in it. The teller windows are usually closed. If someone needs a teller, one of the workers will open a window. I went into the bank recently to close down a business account, and open accounts for my teen DC. The worker was telling us how awful it was that so many of their branches are closing because of automation.
FWIW, I used to work as a teller in the early 90s in a bank. It's ridiculous for a CEO of a bank to think that bank teller jobs are secure. Even JP Morgan bank has reduced teller staff. The little that they have are paid barely enough to live on for a family. Ridiculous for a billionaire CEO to tell young people to get a job as a teller. Seems self serving. https://www.moneytalksnews.com/slideshows/americas-fastest-shrinking-jobs-is-yours-at-risk/
