Elem teacher found not guilty on 18 counts

From the story posted: "It is our understanding that the claims raised have already been reviewed by law enforcement, CPS, school officials and the courts, and were found to lack credibility," Schlegel's attorney, Patrick Seidel, said in a statement.

If you read the full story it doesn’t seem like “new crimes.” It seems like parents on a witch hunt. This guy has been exonerated, passed a polygraph, and honestly they are still chasing rumors and false claims that don’t seem to be backed up by any facts. If there were new allegations why isn’t the states attorney involved? Why has the school not had any change?

The parental response in this community is so backwards. They should turn it into a made for tv special on what not to do.

The defendant is no longer working with children, so the school’s position on that had not changed.

The children involved were not among the eight he was charged with having abused.

I don’t know why you would take the defense attorney’s word that these specific facts were reviewed and dismissed. Time will tell, though.

Rather than just taking anyone’s word we should be asking questions. Have any new charges been filed? Or just press conferences? Holding a press conference about anonymous claims is the bigger leap here. When he was actually charged with something AACPS didn’t have him listed as employed. He may not be in a classroom but he is still employed and not suspended, so at this time no one is buying these claims except CBS.

What a joke. SMDH
