Side Parts

I wore a side part forever, then went to college. The RA took me aside early on in the semester and told me that I had such a high forehead and small nose that I should consider a side part. And she was right. I have a lot of friends with middle parts who look great, but that’s not for me.

I can't believe how the beauty industry has women worrying about how they part their hair. FFS

Middle parts are terrible. Makes a young woman look so plain Jane.

I thought this was on snarky Gen Z social media influencers (and the teens who watch them), not on corporations?

My college roomate with a high forehead and small nose was made to wear bangs by her very appearance conscious mother. She hated the bangs and they were gone within the first semester.

But I can totally see how a side part is better than a middle part with that face shape.

Last year I splurged on a celebrity hair stylist who told me, "never ever wear your hair in a side part again". I have a small but prominent widow's peak, and I guess the middle part does look better with it.

Which celebrity stylist? Around here? I need a splurge.

All my life I have been asking professionals what would look best on me and I can never get an answer! "It's totally up to you!" I want someone to give me a dose of reality.
