THIS! My spouse and I are on the lower end for DCUM with a HHI of around 370k and we are everyday millionaires. Just a ton of cash piled up and typical boring investments (401k and a bit of real estate. Both W2.) we’re just disciplined and not fancy with money. |
I wouldn’t delay life for money. |
I hope people don’t become doctors just for the money. |

I used to work in a hospital. I have never seen a pharma sales rep with less than impeccable looks. Agree. I work in the hospital and pharma sales reps are always looking so put together and well taken care of. |
You might save more, but it's pathetic to live with your parents as an adult. Most people have friends and personal families of their own. I would have never dated an adult living with their parents, so many problems there. |

+1. Plus all the good partners will be taken. |

Agree. I work in the hospital and pharma sales reps are always looking so put together and well taken care of. The men I know who work in big pharma are literally the tallest and most handsome men I know. I’m only 29, but this one guy is 56 and I felt like a giggling schoolgirl around him. It was so cringe. He was so freaking attractive. He was on his FOURTH wife and had a bunch of other relationships though. Another guy in my building worked in big pharma (and was a lobbyist) and his salary was over 1 million a year before retirement. Also a very tall and very handsome man. |

Interesting..A lot of engineers are broke. For real, regardless of the field, you will not find many who even make above $200k after 20 years. |
No he is smart and saving money. A lot of people get married and have kids very late these days. People nowadays have their first child at 40. |
I'm 19 years and 300, plus bonuses ~100k. |
No, you are not on the low end of DCUM.

+1. Many in the DMV are overpaid consultants who benefit from very large ill negotiated government contracts. |
