Are any women successful in sales. I think it is quite sexist and many clients specifically request a male representative.

I know a man who is very successful in pharmaceutical sales. He is very tall and handsome, but he’s on his fourth wife

I think some people would distrust a beautiful saleswoman or take her less seriously though

Off-topic, but just delay/avoid kids and/or marriage and you can actually get ahead faster than with a $300K salary.

I live with my parents, make $150K and, according to many DCUM threads on the subject, save more than most people earning $300-400K.

Marriage can increase your net worth if your partner also has a decent job. Divorce is very bad for "getting ahead". Kids are also not good. But not all benefits are financial.

This is wrong. Being a woman in sales is an advantage. Women are often seen as more trustworthy, more empathetic and more trustworthy. Men enjoy dealing with women. Bonus if you’re attractive. I am a woman on track to earn $1.5M this year. Financial services, which is a type of selling.

Pharmaceutical sales love former women’s college athletes. If they’re attractive, it’s a bonus. These sales reps can do very well.

Are you kidding? Attractive women have an enormous advantage in sales.

Take pharma sales as an example. Lots of these doctors are schlubby, middle-aged men whose wives only have the obligatory monthly sex session with them. Having an attractive, 20-something woman show interest is catnip for them—and, let’s be real, these women are playing up their flirty/sexual side to close the deal.

I used to work in a hospital. I have never seen a pharma sales rep with less than impeccable looks.
