So no fatties?

70.7% of men in the 45-64 age group are considered overweight or obese.

It's pretty similar for women, and across all age groups too:

Actually, there are 7% more fat men than women in 40-50s age group. It’s a very significant discrepancy ! No wonder so many women get a divorce in their 40s because they are no longer want to have sex with husbands
No wonder women complain here that men look ugly in 40-50s age bracket.

This is a big part of the discrepancy when you see some of us talk about how great dating is in middle age versus so many others who whine and complain. 70 percent of the competition is fat. Talk about easy mode.

Yes, and because looks are more to men than to women, and all overweight dudes with money still want slim women, the competition for attractive fit women is very high.

You assume that looks are equally important to women as they are to men. They're not.

You sound like a misandrist if that is your conclusion. The biggest think that sticks out to me is the percentage of young people that are obese. If you want to see something interesting, look at a chart on obesity by race.

+1 LOL at OP who thinks "quality" men get botox.

I do. My dermatologist uses Botox and he is handsome, has an income and an amazing wife!

In our current era, looks are very important to women for meeting a new partner. (Less for leaving a current spouse).

From getting that initial swipe right on a dating app, to showing off your partner on Instagram.

There are many high profile examples were this is not the case, but I doubt Bill Belichik's life is comparable to the men of DCUM.

Looks are equally important to women as they are for men. But women tend to settle for money if they can’t find both looks&money in one person. Then they skip on intimacy with a fat husband using his as a wallet

Nah. It's height, social status, and money. If he's got that but he's overweight but not morbidly obese, women won't care about the weight.

Eventually they skip on intimacy no matter what you look like. It's only a matter of time.

They are told by the “Mansphere” now that there will be always younger women after them and that new generations of younger men are “soy boys”, so women love middle aged men flabby dad bods and balding hairlines and saggy faces They think they will age like older movie stars and don’t need to look in the mirror. Reality is that middle aged and older movie star men that women find attractive get skilled plastic surgery and expand effort staying fit.

Also all of this assumes people have resources to chase attractiveness and anti-aging. Most people just live day to day grind trying to make it through the workday, traffic, meal prep and tedious household chores, than all draining parts of parenting in the modern world of screens and social media and college prep. It’s a luxury to live a life of self focus for parents.

Men are often being told that they need to do the wrong things, but I don't think it's accurate to say they don't need to do anything to attract women. The manosphere types will tell them that, to attract women, they need to lift weights, dress well, and be aggressive.

This is BS. Not true at all. I need a slim man to have sex and orgasm if he’s overweight I won’t even touch him with a pole.

No there are studies that actually show that overweight spouses have much less sex and way earlier than healthy looking people

Unfortunately for me, many women are like you. Fortunately for me, more than a few are not.
