Was Chauvin convicted of state or federal charges?
Both.

How many of these scumbags have been rearrested or killed at this point?

Ashli Babbit was violent even before Jan 6. She rammed her SUV into a woman's car after then woman told Babbit's husband about an affair.

Make sure to tell your kids that breaking and entering a national historic site could net their family 5mn$ if you follow the example of MAGA Qanons.

Only if you are a white woman.

Wrong. Only if you are a white MAGA woman. You got a Biden hat on and are gunned down by police because you were jaywalking, you’re out of luck.

“I’m a big fan of Ashli Babbitt,” the president said. “Ashli Babbitt was a really good person who was a big MAGA fan, Trump fan. And she was innocently standing there; they even say trying to sort of hold back the crowd. And a man did something to her that was unthinkable when he shot her. And I think it’s a disgrace. I’m going to look into that. I did not know that.”

Ashli Babbit was climbing through a broken window of the Capitol Building (broken by her fellow domestic terrorist protesters) with a big knife and being told to stay back from where Congress was sheltering in place. She was not innocent in any way
Does that justify a police officer to walk up to her and shoot her?

Yes. Many more of the insurrectionists should have been shot that day. It would have stopped the riot in its tracks. Several members of Congress were only feet away from that door she tried to climb through. I wish only bad things for people who participated that day. They have some kind of loose group home going in a ghetto part of Richmond and that Alam guy lived there. He’s a career criminal. I’m not sure who is funding the home. These people are adults but need someone to provide their housing. Where did Trump find all these losers?

I don't think I have what it takes to be a police officer. But if you are going to serve on the Capitol Police force, you better have what it takes to protect the people you are tasked with protecting.

How are we going to get quality people to serve in these kind of positions if instead of standing by the police force, we stand by the mob attacking the police force and the folks they need to secure.

Horrible episode in our country's history.

Let’s face it. They are mostly just uniformed guards. Real police officers would have acted swiftly toward the first people marauding the Capital. Capital Police actions with peaceful protesters lately remind me that it’s a whole new force since 1-6-21. I bet they are all MAGA.

The police officer didn’t walk up to her and shoot her. She was crawling through a broken glass window that her fellow protestors had shattered and the police officer yelled multiple times for the protestors to stay back and they did not, and the police officers had no idea if she was armed and were trying to protect the congressmen from an onslaught of 1000+ protestors and shot her.

That one shot sure took the wind out of the protesters. Police should have shot more of them sooner.

You are vile. We are friends with a capitol police officer who is our neighbor. He was traumatized and is definitely not MAGA. He’s foreign born and worked nonstop for weeks to protect Congress and people on the Hill.

Shane on you.

The police officer should have been properly investigated for the shooting of an unarmed person, but Nancy Pelosi and Merrick Garland saw to it that he wouldn't be held accountable.
This was the same officer who left a loaded gun in a bathroom a couple years earlier.

You have a lot of nerve and sound really ignorant. I'm surprised more shots weren't fired on J6. Question if there was a take over at the WH with your beloved MAGA prez what should Secret service do to a person going at him a person who is not stopping/complying when they are told to? Do they not take action and let that person continue on? I think you are trying to defend a woman whose behavior can't be defended....there are many situations where police have opened fire on citizens and said the reason was they did not comply. I've heard a lot of conservatives in those situations say "they should have complied-play stupid games win stupid prizes". Welp here is a situation where she should have listened to direction and she should not have been in that building at all. She played a very stupid game for a very stupid man-she won the worst of the stupid prizes. She put many people in danger that day including the VP who you all chanted to HANG. Stop acting like we all didn't watch that terrifying day unfold.

“In a post 9/11 world, deadly force should have been used much sooner in a situation where mobs of people are storming the US Capitol Building, White House, or Pentagon.

How that many unvetted people were able to make it that deep into the building and that close to hundreds of our most prominent lawmakers is beyond me.

It's unlikely any of the perpetrators who took part in the security breach that day had bombs or other weaponry that could have brought the building down but we don't take that chance in the same way everyone goes through airport security even though only 1 in 5 billion passengers may have a bomb in their carryon.

Pardoning the J6 perpetrators and this potential wrongful death settlement payout are spits on the graves of all the brave souls who lost their lives to obtain and maintain our nation's sovereignty over the past 250 years. Disgusting”

You are so correct. I can’t wait to see what Bad Things happen to 1-6 terrorists in the future. They seem to be doing it to themselves.

Shame on him for not dispatching a few terrorists. Maybe he should find a job outside of law enforcement.

This one was literally just convicted today.

WASHINGTON — “A federal judge on Tuesday convicted a Washington state man who participated in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot of making a false threat toward a government facility in Maryland and unlawfully possessing firearms and ammo.
U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols found Taylor Taranto, 39, guilty on all counts after a week-long bench trial. Nichols said prosecutors had convinced him a reasonable person who watched one of Taranto's livestreams could believe he was genuinely preparing a vehicle to blow up at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Gaithersburg. Among other facilities, NIST houses a test nuclear reactor.”
