How do you feel about marijuana use by other parents?

Anonymous
Whatever. It’s kind of for losers, but so is drinking in excess. I associate both with immaturity.

so let me get this straight, someone used a legal substance privately the way the party where the parents were getting their buzz on ?

But it was in a different way… and you were not invited. So now you don’t know if you can trust them.

Do I have that right?

Also, look into edibles. Smelling like weed is tacky.

Also this but, as a PP said, if she is using gummies, you have to have a talk with your kid about not eating any gummie candy at their house. Yes, I am sure she puts them all away in a special iron safe and her kids never sneak one or two of mommy’s special candy. But better safe than sorry.

This is basically wheee I am. I would also judge anyone getting drunk at this kind of function. I don’t know that I’d stop my kids from gojng over there in the afternoon but it would factor into my decision about whether to let them go away for a weekend with that friend or whether I’d want to do carpool for a sports team with them. And I’d just think they were kind of gross.

Agree. The place I get them from put them in childproof jars. You can also get a lock box.ask the mom if you’re worried and your kids are friends. Also educate your kids on what not to do at other peoples houses to keep themselves safe. Which goes way past edibles.

Wine and beer you are good with right?

I will never understand the disconnect. Is it because people have basically grown up with their parents drinking and it's been normalized for so long?

.

Wine and beer are not breathed into the lungs. Anyone who does that with any substance is low class

Ehhh I fully admit I’m a hypocrite and see it differently than alcohol. I guess for me, alcohol also serves the purpose of having taste and enhancing a meal. So like, I wouldn’t judge someone for enjoying a couple beers or glasses of wine, but if they’re doing shots or taking swigs from a hidden flask of cheap vodka, I’m judging.

Also think the nudge-nudge-wink-wink routine of making a big deal of sneaking off to be bad is weird. I used to vape, and if I snuck off to vape for 10 minutes, I wouldn’t come back all giggling and telling people what I did.

If you’re ok with drinking, don’t judge weed.

I use gummies the same way an occasional drinker drinks. A light buzz on a weekend night here and there. I’m never out of control. I never drive. Relaxes me and maybe makes me giggle. I don’t talk about it incessantly.

The only difference is that even 2-3 drinks will make me feel like crap all night and the next day. Weed I sleep well and feel fine in the morning like it never even happened.

I wouldn’t care. It’s great she stepped away from everyone else and did it.

I don’t think it’s hypocritical to see it differently in terms of whether or not you’re still keen to hang out with these people. Most people are still chatty and pleasant after a couple of drinks. Most people are weird and awkward and smell bad after smoking. And at many gatherings it’s clueless to be high and stinking of weed.

But the notion that drinkers are good parents and smokers are not…that’s just stupid.

I mean people that vape, can’t stop talking about vaping or doing it in front of you so I don’t know that I believe you

Pothead losers.

I would probably be hanging out with them. Personally, I love a J after my evening run and long hot shower. It doesn't slow me down the next day like wine does, which I hardly ever drink anymore.

I think your ignorance is most definitely the lowest class. Stop with the moronic “low class.” You’re not elevating yourself. You just sound really dumb. Also, heard of edibles?
