Is it those people who annoy you, again?

Isn’t Edison the high school that receives a number of PG County residents committing residency fraud? It’s even been posted in the Hayfield Football thread that Edison is nicknamed the best high school in PG county. Maybe the county should look into all of the Maryland plates at morning drop off.

So is the theory residency fraudster kids loiter in fast food establishments and cause problems because they don’t have reliable or timely car rides home?

I thought FCPS had all these after school programs to keep kids out of trouble. They threatened to cut those programs if they didn't get their requested budget.

Yes indeed.

Thanks Michelle Reid! Thanks for turning “inclusion” into something toxic and physically dangerous in our schools.

Why aren't high prices keeping the riffraff out?

You mean at home.

Schools can't discipline. Why? Because disciplining one bad student takes away from their education. So instead everyone in their class gets to suffer a decrease in their level of education while the bad kid has weekly meltdowns that causes the class to evacuate.

Good on this McDonald's. I'll support all places that kick out teens.

Have you tried to shop at an Ulta or Sephora lately? It's full of teen girls opening products to test instead of using the designated testers, clogging up the aisles, and never buying anything. Kick them out! We loathed Friday and Saturday nights when I was working at Victoria's Secret in college. The tween and teen girls browsing threw off our conversion numbers and always got us angry emails on Monday morning, even though corporate knew exactly why our foo-traffic was so high and our sales were so low.

Fixed that for you.

The place where people should learn discipline and self-control is NOT school! This is 100% the parents' responsibility. Quit foisting this responsibility off onto others, especially school. Their job is to teach kids how to read and write.

Many, but not all, parents do instill discipline only to have it diluted by seeing no discipline in school and being indoctrinated in the art ofcrestorative justice.

Which starts from a lack of discipline at home.

+1. This is the problem.

Absentee parenting doesn’t work for the kids.

Neither does "screentime parenting" or "watch your kid while you are working" parenting. Parenting correctly is A LOT of work and many parents (even affluent ones) are just not willing to do the work.

And it continues to get worse. Once the last of the boomers holding the world together retire it is going to be a rough ride.

Participation trophies, equity vs opportunity, TO, UBI, the ideas keep getting dummer all the time.

The Boomers checked out a while ago. They just retire in place saying they will retire next year.

And are definitely not remotely interested in having relationships with their grandchildren. When they pass away all you will notice is an influx of real estate listing.

It already has happened at Bradlee. That McDonald’s was closed last week for some updates and has reopened w/ a no one under 21 dining in rule
