January ECNL and ECRL showcases in Florida overlap by design. They are only about 90 minutes apart by location and allow coaches to go to both. |
But do they go to both? |
Nop |
Comparing which coaches to which coaches? |
Honestly, next year's 2010 and 2011 GA coaches (Rich and Cadogan) and the presumed 2010 and 2011 RL coaches (Wilson and Smith) are all pretty damn good. |
So not “Alexandria vs Arlington is not even close” |
I heard that most of the Arl 2011s who are going to Alexandria GA are from the white team, not the RL team. Not sure about the 2010s, but RR used to coach the 2010s at Arl so not a huge surprise that some girls are making the jump. |
Heard that white team was as strong as the RL team. |
Did the 2011 RLs stay at Arlington? Thought for sure they would go to Alexandria like the Valor team went to SYC. |
| So much nonsense about RL players not being developed so they go to GA to develop... yet they obviously developed to make it into GA. Mid-tier to bottom tier GA is bottom-tier RL. Winning doesn't always mean developing. Best of luck to ya. |
It's about who the clubs provide their best training and resources to. 99.9999% of the time clubs prioritize their top team. GA = Top Team, ECRL = Second Team (if there isn't an ECNL team) |
It's going to be tough for some of those 2011 RLs. Alot of them came out but does not mean they will get selected. |
Looking at the Rankings app, this might be a fair assessment given Arlington 2011 White is 17th in VA (400th National) and Arlington 2011 Red is 12th (325th National). White plays in NCSL so unlikely that those games will boost their rank while Red has better regular season competition. 2011 talent at Arlington is deep. |
My 07 daughter plays RL and we were at the FL event in JAN. I was impressed with the number of coaches at her games. One game in particular there were 20+. No D1, all D2, D3, and NAIA... as it should be. |
