Please help. Which club has the best Keeper program?

A colleague said to check out Virginia Development Academy or Union but any other recommendations? They said to stay away from Arlington; something about that coach getting let go from a university program.

We also haven’t ruled out GA if we can find a good program so any recommendations would be appreciated.

TIA.

Not sure of your location. Richmond United is also only at 1 GK. their starting GK is going to an Academy Team next year.

Are you referring to JS? He’s staying with McLean MLS Next I believe.

We left Arl for McLean last yr. Best decision ever. Training (Coach) was more into herself than coaching at Arl.

Same with us. AW is awful. No wonder she got canned from GMU.

LOL you mean with CF? He does the same drill over and over again.

Most do, there’s actually a method to his madness. He does the same 8-10 drills but most of his keepers can do them with their eyes closed. His long time keepers are some of the more technical in the area. Doing things the correct way is more important to him than just making the save.

You can't use logic with some people here. They just want to argue for arguments sake and run people/teams down to feel better about themselves.

Okay and what coaching license does he hold? Technical? Now that's a good one. My DD had to go to a private coach to correct her form.

Sorry your kid got passed up at SYC GA

GA for general admission... I'll stick with ECNL

YOU aren't sticking with anything unless you are a teenage girl. If you are not, which I assume is the case, you're a loser for acting like where your daughter plays makes you somehow better.

Apologies for saying "where your daughter plays." It's more like what team she is on.

Loser.

even chatgpt cant make sense of your comment.

Do you know why she got canned?

SYC GA’s star GK also left, unclear where. They’re currently looking for a replacement

I’d reach out to the various GA and ECNL clubs if you are still looking. List alphabetically so no one complains: Alexandria, Arlington (see above), McLean, Loudon, NVA, SYC, VDA, VRSC. They will tell you who has availability given some recent moves.

She is one of the best GK Trainers in the area. Her resume speaks for itself. Maybe your kid isn't cut out for the level that she is playing? Could that be a possibility? Great results working with her.

Amir w/ Premier Keepers (https://www.premierkeepers.com/) is great. My son (2010) has trained with many of the coaches mentioned above and Amir is definitely his favorite.

As for Bill Hamid, I don't think he's in the area currently (or at least wasn't a couple months ago). I think he's playing pro somewhere outside of the area. Biggest issue with him is consistently getting his time.

I reached out to Amier but he never called me back.

Bill relocated to Florida. He was very in consistent with scheduling and then he would get really pushy to have you come train.
