How bad is the rebound in terms of weight when you get off the weight-loss shots?

I put on 20lbs with menopause and thyroid condition. I have lost that weight over six months with wegovy. I am currently on the 1.7 dose. Now I am at my goal weight I will gradually taper down - for now will move to fortnightly dose instead of weekly. As most many pp have said - this is a medication for life, particularly if you have health conditions that make weight stabilisation and weight loss difficult.

FWIW - I am a very fit person - lift extremely heavy (220lb deadlift for example) and also eat well. Perimenopause just changed my ability to maintain weight. I simply need far less food than I used to and it is difficult to adjust to that. I estimate I now eat around 30% less food than I was before I hit peri-menopause.

Are you eating ample protein? I'm on Wegovy. I am weight training and trying to lose a few more pounds and then taper off, but work is incredibly stressful right now so I know this is not a good time to get off.

These medications are showing promise for cardiac health and reducing dementia risk, two big things in my family line, so I plan to stay on it forever.
