Past life memories are legit, and as other posters have noted, UVA has done a lot of solid research in this area. I am deeply spiritual and have had many revelations about a truly loving spirit/source/God that give me great peace.

You're lucky he can talk to you about it. If anything I would talk to him more--have him share more details of the past life, and talk about how that was then and in this lifetime he will have a whole new set of experiences.

I am not deeply spiritual. I am an atheist and I think there might be something to the past lives experience. Belief in a "truly loving spirit/source/God" is not needed. The professors at UVA are scientifically researching past lives experiences. No deep spiritually is called for.

OP here.

I watched Frozen with DS over the weekend and one of the early scenes shows Anna falling as a child, and my DS screamed hysterically (as he often does) about the idea of falling. I comforted him and we continued watching.

Then in a later scene Anna is climbing the ice and in danger of falling and my DS said, “actually, I’m not afraid of falling, because now I know that if you die you just start over with a new family, but I’m still the same person, like after dying, so it’s really not that scary.”

I’ve tried asking my DS questions about what he means by the things he says and he doesn’t really say anything, he says he doesn’t know or isn’t sure. It’s like he says these things in bursts but then otherwise isn’t really aware.

That’s my update!

It's good that he isn't scared of watching movies, but I would worry if I were you that he would do risky things because he doesn't really understand how final death is. So keep a close eye on him and remind him to be careful because he wouldn't want to get hurt. I probably wouldn't bring up how much you'd miss him if he died or that even if he's born again it could take a long time, but those would certainly fit into his narrative.

This is schizophrenia; believing that imagination is real.

My kid made a comment to me about knowing me as a baby, just after turning 2.

OP, I love this story! The only troubling thing is his comment he waited so long to be born. I believe in reincarnation and want to get back to living.

I totally think my kid chose me too, though it would be nice to hear it in those words, so I’m envious. LOL.

Oh get out of here. The Tibetan culture has a lot more children talking about past lives because they’re more spiritual, which is what my Tibetan friend told me.

OP, have you heard the story of the boy who remembered his time as a fighter pilot and they were able to verify who it was. I’m sure it will pop up on Google.

There were many falling to their deaths on Sept 11 - it came out of nowhere and must have been traumatic for so many who had no time to prepare for death.

Ooh, good catch. I’m pp. Yes, that would account for it being so traumatic and would also make it a long time.
