Opposite day! ICE puts a German in a concentration camp

I can't find the link now, but I guess if you have anything anti-Trump on your phone and they find it, off you go!

Facebook, IG, anywhere they can find it on your phone.

That's nauseating.

It’s very normal to show a return ticket when entering a country. I’ve always done this (even for both Germany and the US) and I come from a “good country”. It’s just a normal thing that people need to do in order to demonstrate that they don’t intend to break the immigration laws of the country you’re entering. I’m white, well educated and relatively well off, FWIW. And I’ve never complained about it or even thought that it was strange that they asked to see it.

Here's one link. I'm not sure it's the same link I was reading earlier.

Would you be OK with being detained if you didn't have one, or should you just be denied entry?

I don't see any "detention" in your pious little screed there. Should they let you go back home?
You are all crooks or fools.

Yes, it’s normal to have a return ticket but in Mr. Schmidt’s case, he is a permanent legal resident (green card holder) and yet they still strip searched him, violently interrogated him and detained him for weeks. That is not normal procedure.

If this keeps up and gets out in the news, it is going to destroy the US tourism industry and many other things.

Agree. I have family in Sweden who were supposed to come visit us this summer. They messaged me today to say they are not coming because of the “unstable situation.” I don’t blame them. I’d be scared too.
