Did you read the part about "following the rules."

Sounds like these people did not follow the rules. And, please remember, a Border Patrol agent was killed a few weeks ago at the Canadian border. Pretty sure a German national was involved.

Then deny entrance at the border and she can stay in Mexico. Or book her a flight (at her expense) the next day. Why keep her in custody for two months? Why place her in solitary confinement for weeks? That's either incompetence or cruelty.

Exactly. If denied entry, the person is usually put on a plane back to their country. They’re not detained for 2 weeks (at taxpayer’s expense!)

What is new is that before, the US would simply deny entry. The detentions are unnecessary and over the top. That is what is spooking people.

It’s because they can’t find enough “illegals” to make their efforts “meaningful,” so not they are grabbing whoever they can. What a pathetic administration.

They aren't. Cancellations are sky rocketing, airplanes coming from Europe are at 1/3 capacity. Trump is literally going to kill our traavel and tourism industry, hostels, airlines etc
