Because they stare. It seems like my neighbors spend hours looking at the windows watching what we do. If we go outside, they are at the windows staring. If we are inside, they will stare from their window in to ours.

I am the OP and that resonates with me. It's almost like they want to be intimidating by keeping all their curtains open so we can see through their windows day and night and they are always staring outside it's so weird. I don't understand it being an immigrant then again my parents were never strivers. Too down to earth to be.

My guess is they don't care one iota about you or what you're doing. I suggest you stop caring about them too.
